Through this Federal program, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) provides funds for training, technical assistance, and related support for transit systems in non-urbanized areas. The Rural Transportation Assistance Program has two components, a national program and a state program. National RTAP develops training and technical assistance materials, provides an information clearinghouse, offers technical assistance and supports peer-to-peer technical assistance. New York’s FFY 2009 share is $241,835; about 3% of the national total. This program does not require a matching share. |
