In 1999, the New York Public Transit Association proudly announced the creation of the New York Public Transit Hall of Fame—a tribute to leaders in the transit industry who have contributed to the Association and transit community through tireless labors and commitment.

Over they years, the Association has inducted 27 people into the Hall of Fame, giving public recognition to their contributions with an induction dinner held during the annual fall conference.

We encourage you to browse our online Hall of Fame and learn more about the transit leaders who have shaped this industry. Biographies of each inductee can be viewed by selecting the induction year.
