Presented certificates of appreciation to Call-N-Ride bus drivers, Robin and Domenic (right) commending them for their customer service and positive attitudes in carrying out their duties for O.C.O. Transportation. Director of O.C.O. Transportation, Gary Mashaw, was presented a plaque in gratitude from the organization’s members for O.C.O.’s outstanding Call-N-Ride Program which provides door to door transportation to all the meetings and special group events throughout the year. Members George Stephenson, Barbara Lisk and Ruth Kitney (left) shared their appreciation for the unique program. Smith says Call-N-Ride is a "Godsend" for individuals who want to stay in charge of planning their own lives and participate in activities that keep them active and busy in spite of vision limitations. Call-N-Ride links with OPT (Oswego County Public Transit) fixed-flex routes for commuters to access daily activities.

Members of Oswego County Visually Impaired, enjoy the independence of taking the Call-N-Ride Transportation and OPT (Oswego County Public Transit) fixed-flex Service of O.C.O. Transportation. Since they are no longer able to drive due to their vision loss, they can still have the satisfaction of planning their own schedules to get to meetings, barbers, doctors' offices, visits to friends, lunch or shopping and other life activities. This opportunity enhances their lives and keeps them active in our community.
