Lake George RV Park, Inc.
President and CEO

The Lake George RV Park depends on private and public transportation to provide a quality resort experience to its guests.  With over 10,000 camping guests using our trolley shuttle services each season, it is clear that public transportation provides a convenience to resort guests visiting the busy Lake George region.  When surveyed, guests comment that not only does our available shuttle service provide a user-friendly way for them to get around town to see the area attractions but they can avoid the inconvenience of navigating congested roadways and seeking adequate parking for their RV's, leaving them more time to enjoy our region and patronize our businesses.  Our success as a major resort in the Lake George region is largely contributed to the transportation services that are made available to our visiting guests each year.

"Our local transit service has been a tremendous asset that has been absolutely essential in helping us secure an adequate labor force required by our local tourism industry. The trolleys also help to make the area more attractive to tourists who find it more convenient that driving and searching out limited parking spaces. The money they save by riding the trolleys also means more money in their pocket that can be spent in our other local businesses".

Michele Nicholson

Michele Nicholson has been riding GGFT fixed route and paratransit services almost daily since 1992. Michele has a lifelong physical disability and uses a motorized electric wheelchair to get to and from the bus. She depends on it for almost all of her transportation needs to work, to doctors appointments and for personal business.  When asked about public transit services in her community Michele says " (public transit) means independence for people with disabilities". Regular travel would not be affordable for her without it. Transit service availability is a major factor in every decision she makes about housing, work, and personal travel.
