NYSDOT 17A Reports: Good Data In, Good Data Out (4/14/08) Print E-mail

New York State DOT 17-A reports are important inputs to the State Transit Operating Assistance (STOA) process.  The 17-A data, once reviewed, analyzed and modified in light of state policies, forms the basis of DOT's budget submission to the Governor's office and the Division of Budget. It is very important that transit systems submit accurate and timely 17-A reports to insure that DOT fully understands each system's needs and recommends STOA appropriate to the system's circumstances. Although NYPTA has had preliminary discussions with NYSDOT regarding alternative approaches to developing STOA allocations, for now the 17-A process remains the baseline data gathering mechanism. If you have any questions regarding 17-A or need assistance completing reports, please contact Ron Epstein at NYSDOT: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  or 518-457-8362.
