The City of Oneonta announces an opening for Transportation Director Print E-mail
The City of Oneonta announces an opening for the position of Transportation Director.

Minimum qualifications either:

  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Planning or a related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience at a supervisory level in the transit field; or
  • Associates degree from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university in Business Administration, Economics, Planning or a related field an six (6) years of progressively responsible experience with at least four (4) years at a supervisory level in the transit field.

The position may be filled as provisional or temporary. A Civil Service Exam that will be given in the fall will result in a permanent appointment.

The salary will be based on qualifications and experience.  The successful candidate will be required to meet residency requirement at time of appointment.
