A special thanks to all of our 2009 Call Center Challenge contestants. This years competition showcased the skills of a number of talented transit professionals from across New York State. Congratulations to all, and best wishes to our 1st Place Winniner who is moving on to the international competition in the Spring!

The New York Public Transit Association is pleased to announce our first annual Call Center Challenge on November 19, 2009 at the Holiday Inn – Wolf Rd. This event will be held during the annual NYPTA fall conference. The Call Center Challenge will showcase the talents of employees behind the scenes of transit from across New York State who handle and receive calls related to Customer Service and/or trip planning.
The winners will have the chance to apply and participate in a National competition held in February of 2010. Participants will answer 3 calls – trip planning, general inquiry and an irate call in an office-like setting in front of a live audience. Participants will be judged on the way the call is answered.
